As a member of the National Council for Jewish Women / Los Angeles, she teaches underprivileged children to become artists as an after-school activity. As an avid reader, she volunteers at the local library, helps with fundraising and organizes special events. Always interested in her community, Anita has been active in the Mid-Wilshire Housing Association, serving as a member of the governing body, and participating in community events and gatherings.

At one point, Anita was asked to serve on the Los Angeles City Aging Commission, which she did for several years. I have discussed some of Anita’s attributes and activities for the benefit of her community and humanity. I can mention what a wonderful hostess and cook, often entertaining friends and family. He is also an amazing pianist visit dewapoker.

Often times we sat in his living room after dinner and sang along as he played his brightly polished piano. I can say a lot more.

What does this have to do with poker? That’s a question you might be asking. For one thing, there is more to life than playing the game of poker. In all likelihood, that is why most poker players do so for recreational purposes. We enjoy game challenges, and inherent social interactions.

I must add that, over the years playing poker, I have become acquainted with many good people. In fact, I’ve made some good friends, and met many other people who I admire. What’s more, one of Anita’s artworks, of a woman peeking anxiously through the window, is on display at Larry Flynt’s Hustler Casino in Gardena, California.

My main message: Always remember: It takes all kinds of people to create a community or the world – also at the poker table. And never underestimate or belittle those who would rather not play poker.
